Frequently asked questions from our new Bon Magasinage platform π
How do I delete an ad?
The ad button is currently under development, and is not present at the moment, but will arrive in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can drag your unused ads into “Draft”, so that they don’t appear online.
I can’t find my Wishlist?
Among the most difficult transfers, there were the wishlists, but we managed to import your wishlist history πͺπΌ You’ll have to click on “My wishlist” to find it. You can, of course, rename the name “My Wishlist” to whatever you like, as shown in this example.
I can’t find the search bar?
We withdrew it on April 25, so that we could rework it and make sure that the suggestions you receive are super relevant. It’s in the hands of our technical team π
First reconnection -> I’m told my password is wrong, but it’s the right one?
In the transition from the old site to the new one, we didn’t keep the passwords. You must therefore create a new one when you log on for the first time. and therefore make a forgotten “Password”.

How do I sell my clothes?
To sell your clothes, you’ll need to “Create an account” and fill in the information we need to sell (first and last name, billing address, telephone number, etc.). After that, you can click on the “Create an ad” button to start the adventure together π
Can I sell in lots?
No, you must make one article per ad (even for children’s ads). Delivery charges are associated with one item per ad. Batch ads will be automatically deleted.
How do I determine my selling price?
On mid-range items, the price is generally reduced by 50% of the purchase price. On top-of-the-range items, the price can be set from -30% to 40% of the purchase price. In both cases, it depends on the overall condition of the item.
If you’re in any doubt about the right price, just let us know at allo@bonmagasinage.com. We’ll be happy to help.
How do I present an article?
The best way to present your item is to show it in its best light, as if you were looking to buy it yourself. You can post a photo of the item’s front, back and size label. We also recommend adding a photo of a nice detail of the garment worn. Bon Magasinage will be happy to publish your best photos on social networks (and increase your chances of selling!).

Why do I have to indicate the weight of my garment when creating the ad?
New since April 2024, we ask you to weigh your items when creating your ads. This information is optional, but the weight helps to calculate the perfect delivery charge. Visitors to your closet can then get a fair price for the mailing and store accordingly. So it’s important to specify the right weight to make it attractive to your visitors.

The (clean) kitchen scale will be your best friend, 100% tested and approved by the Bon Magasinage team.

It’s very advisable, yes. When you sell, you’ll need to be able to print your mailing labels. If you don’t have a printer, perhaps your lovely neighbors will be happy to help you out, but ideally you should have a printer on hand, as it’s mandatory to be able to print the mailing label.
PAYMENT AND BON MAGASINAGE COMMISSION
How does the Bon Magasinage commission work?
Bon Magasinage takes a commission of 20% + Tx (on the sale amount of your item) collected by the seller. What is the Good Shopping Wallet and when will I receive the money from my sales?
Tadam π₯ Since April 2024, the money from your sales has gone straight into your Bon Magasinage virtual wallet. You can decide to spend the money on new purchases directly on Bon Magasinage or you can request a transfer of the money to your bank account.
When you receive the e-mail stating that your sale has been delivered, you can go to your “Wallet” area and see that the sum for your sale will be waiting for you there. Then, you can request the “Withdrawal” you wish (either the total amount of your “Wallet” or a partial amount) or re-spend the amount of your “Wallet” directly on Bon Magasinage.
When you submit a “Withdrawal” request, we will send you the amount within 5 to 10 business days following the date of the “Withdrawal” request. You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to ensure that your payment is deposited into your bank account.
In order to spread the costs of bank transfers, each transfer sent to your bank account will be punctuated by 1.50 CAD (not for each sale but for each “Withdrawal”, in order to save this fee you can wait until you have several payments from several accumulated sales before requesting the “Withdrawal” of your “Wallet”.
Do I have to include my Bon Magasinage income in my tax return?
It depends. If the income is commercial, regular or frequent, the revenue agency in your country or province may ask you to include these sales in your income (you could then deduct their purchase cost). We recommend that our members with large sales volumes consult their accountant or tax advisor on this subject.
POSTAL DELIVERY OF YOUR SALES OR PURCHASES
How does delivery with Canada Post work?
When you have a sale, a label is generated and downloaded directly into your seller account (by going to your sale details). You’ll be able to affix this label securely (i.e. glued in its entirety) directly to the parcel. As a seller, you need to make sure you have an envelope or parcel adapted to the size of the item.
Who pays for delivery?
Delivery charges are at the buyer’s expense. As far as the seller is concerned, when he creates the mailing label, it has already been paid for, but the envelope in which he will wrap the package is at his expense. Please note that Bon Magasinage also contributes to delivery costs by covering part of the delivery charges and taxes.
What are the delivery costs if I want to buy several items from the same seller?
Everything is done automatically, so when you add several items to your basket, you’ll immediately see the delivery charge calculation displayed.
How do I prepare my parcel?
We’ve put together a guide, available by clicking here, to help you make pretty packages π
How long do I have to mail my item if the buyer has opted for Canada Post?
You have a total of 7 consecutive days to mail your package. If you have any problems with this deadline, please contact us at allo@bonmagasinage.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
What happens to the buyer during the 7-day period?
During the 7 days, our team ensures a personalized follow-up with each seller. If the shipment of your parcel is delayed, we will send you a short message to let you know if everything is going well or if you need our help βΊοΈ. In this way, we keep buyers informed of the progress of their orders.

Postal delivery” purchases: If an order has to be cancelled for an exceptional reason, you will be informed and the order will, of course, be refunded in full.
What happened to “Picking in person”? ?
Since April 2024 and the updating of our site, the “Nobody picks” option is no longer available. This is because it’s an extremely complex system to develop. We’re thinking about how to put this option back on the market by offering you a better version, more adapted to what you’re asking us for (i.e. more advanced geolocation to offer “Pick in person” in your area). We apologize for the inconvenience.
